with Amenda Suen

at 7:15 pm

Class length
90 minutes

Location
Yoga Shala

CLASS FULL - WAITLIST AVAILABLE
This session is part of our Fridays at the Shala series, created for a deeper exploration of the practice. These monthly 90-minute classes extend familiar styles, offering more time to move and explore, or move beyond asana into more unique practices and meditative work. Held once a month on Fridays at 7.15pm, with slight timing adjustments on Public Holidays. Yoga Seeds members may attend with any valid pass.

Step into a beautiful 90-minute Moon Salutation practice designed to slow the body down and settle the system. Inspired by the quiet, reflective quality of the moon, this session with Amenda weaves together fluid movement, mindful breath, and grounding stillness.

There’s a kind of tightness that doesn’t respond to pushing. You stretch, but it doesn’t quite change. You move, but the body still feels restricted. By the end of the day, you’re carrying it in the body and in the mind.

This is a different way to work with that. The pace is unhurried. You’re not trying to get anywhere. As you move, the joints are taken through range in a way the body can accept. Hips, spine, and shoulders begin to open — not because you pushed deeper, but because the body stops holding back. That’s what makes the difference.

The mobility you build here tends to stay. It feels usable, not forced. Along the way, other things shift. Tension eases. Your breathing slows without you having to think about it. The mind becomes quieter, less reactive.

If you’ve been sitting for long hours, working hard, or just feeling off in your body, this gives it a way to reset without asking more of you. You leave with more space in the body, and a calm that carries beyond the practice.

There is space for you.
