Batik is an ancient technique of wax-resist dyeing, passed down through generations. Experience the joy of heritage Batik art with Iolana from Raya Artisans in a contemporary way without losing its authenticity. Craft your own choice of woodenware (ranging from coasters, plates and serving boards) from start to finish - picking the design of your choice, tracing the design with wax using a traditional tool called the tjanting, and finally painting your piece with dyes in a mixture and combination of your choice.

This workshop is where tradition and culture meet creativity and expression - the beauty at the center of it all is the love, hope and joy that go into the creation of your own unique artwork.
